Menacing Sense is predominantly a book of poems written by Andrew Wells. Osmanthus Press reached out to musician Ryan Blankley (Slot Canyons) to also produce a piece of music to accompany this release in a collaboration with chapbook.

The two part book-score was recorded at the start of 2021 in Shanghai with additional trombone recorded by Daniel Rothwell at Nugget Studios, Beijing.

The music compliments the book's slow creep of the festering pigeons in the upper balconies of the long-dead imagination.
